Default Nosler VS Lapua

I am trying to decide which brass to use to reload for my 308 Win. After comparing the prices, the Noslers are about $35 per 50 and the Lapua are about $45 per 100. I have used the Noslers and am very happy with them in my 22-250. I am really wondering though is the extra worth it? Any one try both? The Noslers were within a grain in weight of each other and I am weighing them all for the most accuracy I can squeeze out of them. I am using a Savage model 12 for long range Varmints. By long range I mean out to 800 yards. Thanks, Jamie.

I use them both and like them both. The Nosler brass demands the extra $ because of the extra prep work that goes into it.You use it, so you already know they come weight sorted, flash holes deburred, trimmed to length, chamferedand so forth. So, you'll have to decide whether having these things done byNosler is worth the extra $. If you have plenty of time on your hand and don't mind doing them yourself, then I'd say Lapua is the way to go. If you're like me, however, and don't have the time or inclination to do them, then Nosler may be the best choice. The last two batches of brass I bought (7mm RM and 300 WM) were both Nosler.

I bought 150 rounds of Nosler 308 Win brass, in 3 different lots. I was blown away at the quality. I weighed every case and with the exception of one oddball case, they all weighed in within .4 grains of each other. Primer pockets needed no uniforming, flash holes were free of burs, and they were all the same length. I hope Nosler keeps upthis same level of quality.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll save some work and go with the noslers.
