I personally would use 130gr to 140gr bullets in the 270win and they certainly would not have round noses.

Nuttin wrong with roundnose. In the big scheme of things, its really a nonissue. shoot I have even take about a doz deer with roundnose 150gr. why? Back in the day, I had them lying around. Wanted to shoot them off.

Most if not 95% of all hunters I would say will not be able to make a field shot over 200 yards anyway. so if he wants roundnose, so be it.
