Can't say much about the town, haven't spent a lot of time in there, but is decent sized and has all the ammenities. Hunting and fishing is close by. The Bow river is a premier trout fishery and that area of the province produces record book mulies on a regular basis.

i have fished the Bow River going into Cochrane, its the same as the Kootenai River but the Bow flows east from the divide and the Kootenai flows west from the divide, fished them both and got some dollies and kookanees but not no real big ones. Thanks, Bobby

Pheasents,Hungarians and sharptail grouse hunting is good to excelent within a couple hour drive of Lethbridge. Mule deer, Pronghorn and coyote and fox can also be hunted when draw permits are obtained. Geese and ducks and more geese than you can shake a Rem. 870 at. If you want to hunt elk, moose, sheep or bear you will have to drive a couple hours west at least. North-west even better. Not too many white-tails right around lethbridge eather.
Fishing can be great in many of the reserviors and irrigation canals in the area. Summer time ground squirrel (gopher) potting.
