Alberta Rut

My Dad is getting ready to leave for Alberta on the 15th to hunt for 2 weeks. What is the rut sign like up there right now? Any info will be appreciated.

I just got back from hunting the Edmonton Bow Zone last week and the rut is under way! I saw several bucks chasing does and brought two in with the Can. Theother guys saw similar activity! One of those bucks, a decent 8pt came close but was directly behind me and I couldn't turn for a shot without spooking him. Your pop is up there at a perfect time. I also had two cow moose come within 20yrds of my stand, it was neat! Let us know how your dad makes out.
