Michigan man wants to hunt in Alberta/Sask
My first post on this forum and I need help. Who in Alberta or Sask can help me hunt whitetails in there woods yet this year? I am not looking to sell the wifes car to finance the trip. Anyone with info on the subject can email me at [email protected]. Thank you, Ron

In Saskatchewan being a non-resident you can only hunt with a licensed outfitter, so your out of luck here! You may want to try the sask. Outfitters website and see if any camps have openings left but being season opened monday it may be a slim chance www.soa.ca. In alberta you can hunt with a resident as a hunter/host, so you have hope if someone has the option open and willing to take you.

Unfortunately in Alberta the resident has to apply to be a Hunter Host. And this has to be done before Aug.29. So for this year at least it is not an option for you. I don' t know how it works for an outfitter though, but at this time of year I' m sure they are booked solid and probably pretty pricey. So it looks like you are SOL for this year.

Try www.apos.ab.ca You may be fortunate to find a cancellation for this year and save some money as well.
