Not too long ago, someone here mention a good place to hunt near
Ottawa. I can' t find the post, but who ever it posted it said this certain
area just south of Ottawa has an over abumdance of deer.
I' m trying to plan a hunting trip with another three friends since our Moose
trip got cancelled, and that post popped in my mind.
Anyone have an idea?
It would be greatly appreciated.

Its mainly the area from Kanata to a little past Perth. Zones 63B and 64A (all weapons) and zone 64B (shotguns & ML' s). All 3 have archery seasons, as well, you can purchase additional doe tags (you' ve already missed the regular antlerless draw). They' re opening an additional week of firearms deer in these areas for the third week of November (the regular gun season runs for the first week only).
There is an area east of Kemptville that has too many deer as well, but its all shotguns and usually tied up.
The southern edge of the Marlborough forest has a high population, but a lot of hunters too.
