Gentlemen,
I would like know what yawl think about hunting in alberta. I currently hunt in Texas and would like to go to Alberta to hunt a true monster. Please give me Pros & Cons if you have time. Also is there anything I should be wary of?
Thanks for the help

Hi Samson,
I grew up in alberta and loved the hunting. My Brother and sister still live and hunt there. The hunting can still be excellent.
That being said, I must say non-resident hunting is going a long way towards ruining the golden goose. I have nothing against non-resident hunters but the outfitters who book them seem unable to compete with the resident hunter. Many of these outfitters looked at Texas and liked what they saw.
Now they are constantly tying up land for there exclusive use. This by the way is actually illegal in alberta but hard to prove.
At least the public land hunting is still fantastic.
Come on up and good luck.
