YF/Rocky, ThanksI thought that is what BTR was but not 100% sure.

Ag, the picture is way to small to see any detail for a guess on score. BTW we know big deer exist in BC as well...read big buck and the number of BC killed deer has been steadily growing.Should really be keeping that hush..hush though!

Saskabush, fyi Owens # (306) 933-3075. When your home if interested give him a call and he'll be glad to have drop in to take a boo. I just heard he is doing the Broda BuckReplica's right now as well. If that name doesn't ring a bell it is the World Record Holder for Non-typical Mulie...Alberta beasttoting 355 and 2" of bone!!!!

JD - in regard to out of province Canadian hunters - we can hunt whitetails with a hunter host, mule deer with an ourfitter - what other species can we (if any) hunt with just a host? Are elk open? Moose?

Thanks

Ag...gotta be honest, I've never really looked into this since it's not really something that I'd use. Here's a link to the Regs that should explain everything.

ag, taken from JD's link off Alberta Game Regssee below qoute)

Non-residents who hunt with a Hunter Hostmay obtain White-tailed Deer, Antlered Mule Deer, Antlered Moose, Antlered Elk, Black Bear, Supplemental Black Bear, Cougar, and Wolf/Coyote Licences (see table below) from private licence issuers. Some special licences may be obtained through the draw system that will be described in the 2006 Alberta Hunting Draws booklet available in June 2006.
FYI, anything with "special" indicates a draw tag.

I have hunted whitetails(twice) and moose once with a hunter host. All thatI required was a WIN and the applicable licenses. Obviously the hunter host application as well. I am hopeful that in 2007 I may head to alberta and hunt withmy good buddy once again. He comes to Sask every couple years to hunt with me.

I am thinking about applying for a non-resident Trophy Sheep the success rate of getting a tag is very low 1% area. My understanding is I need to have a WIN to apply and then hunter host upon being successfully drawn. I need to check more closely but that was my read on it any way. My dream is to hunt sheep bighorns and dall to be specific, so I figure might as well start now.

WELCOME BACK early in...missed yeah bud. Everything packed, right now she is mighty cool so bring them wooly's. Good Luck
