lethal, I think it's a great ideabut it won't be real easy. I'm sure lots of hours in the field will be needed to put a good whitetail video together, good luck and keep us posted.

Actually im not sure how you would classify it. The antlers are the same as any other elk its just that the one antler is growing straight out from the centre of it head and then it goes back like a regular elk so its like a unicorn.

Oh and earlyin i wouldnt be doing video of just whitetail because i actually hunt for elk, moose, whitetail and mule deer, coyotes with both bow and rifle and between me and the 4 other guys i hunt with we will on average kill about 15-20 big game animals a year in alberta alone so i think i could compile enough footage to make a video so. I just hope i can make it work.

Lethal bit of advice don't use digital zoom(well with the models we have tried)and use a tripod or simalr to steady the cam. We have done some camcorder stuff and at times it like someone slipped something in your drink trying to watch the TV. Our biggest problem is "bush talk" when on camera, most come back with 18+ ratings...wives do better with the volume muted is all I'll say.

Did a mock fishing show a few years back while on a flyout, was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. Great to relive the moments but hardly show quality film work. It was really a spoof on tv fishing shows but were dead serious about slammin' gators. Had some great footage but mostly was just a raz. Animal housemeetsAl Linder type of thing..lol.

Any way best of luck. I amsure if you guys don't turn into Larry the Cable guy when you say "rolling" and have decent equipment you'll do much better than us.

Skeeter I gotta laughI was watching some of my past hunts I've recorded this weekend and all I heard was swearing (mostly me). I can never show my kid unless it's muted. Anyhow, I have some great footage but nothing with a kill, just me in my stand filming deer that walk by. I have had some sucess with gophers though. Got hours of it and Ilaugh everytime I watch it...that .22 hornet & Magdoes wonders to a gopher!

Yah ive used a tripod before and its awesome and sometimes ill free hand it just as long as i dont zoom in its not too shacky. Actually considering everyone i hunt with workers for the city and were a bunch of rednecks surprisingly there is no swearing well thats untill we get some beers into us then its a 18A movie and as long as the person doesnt miss a big buck or bull we should be good. I do want to get a better camcorder though like the ones i seen on the movie Grizzly Man and hopfully the guys i hunt with will put in for the camera cause who knows this could turn out a profit but i shouldnt get to far ahead of myself.
