Default Shotgun Scope?

What would be a decent scope for a shotgun? In the $100 dollar price range.

A fixed 2x-4x power scope will be bomb proof, inexpensive, and you'll be able to afford a better scope line. You ain't going to need much magnfication with a slug gun anyway.

Stalkingbear does not speak with forked tongue. Get a 2X or 4X fixed power scope. Great advice. I'd look at a Weaver K 4 or a Sightron 2.5 X 32 for example. They are in the $125 range at most places. Good luck.

I second the Nikon 2-7x 32mm Prostaff shotgun scope. Light, compact, tough, and good optics.

I'll third that motion.....I've got one on my slug gun and muzzleloader. Best scope for the money in my opinion.

true, you can get better quality glass in an equally priced fixed power scope as oppossed to a variable

What is the difference between the Nikon Prostaff scope model #s6309 and 6317?
Both are 2-7x32 and camo.
thanks

Although a bit more money, the new Nikon Slug Hunter is an awesome choice and certainly a item you should take a serious look at.
