Well, I must apologize. I was told the courses would be set easy. I was lied to. I've only shot 20 targets so far, but it is anything but easy. Dan Hart was a cussed man all day today.
It was still fun. Tons of folks at Heart of Dixie. Probably a little more than expected which is good.
See ya'll Tomorrow AM to finish up.

Brian from GA. - how was your second day? I had heard Dan Hart was going to help set the course, but the impact of it didn't hit till I was done. I heard a rumor that he may help in Rome, BEWARE! We hadn't shot since worlds last year. . . . we will definitely be getting some practice in the next few weeks.
Heart of Dixie did an outstanding job!
Did you stick around for the team shootdown on Sunday? Pretty intense competition.

I didn't get to watch the team shoot as I was putting scores in the computer. I am more upset that I didn't get to shoot in the team shoot than not being able to watch it.
I can honestly say that I made 37 very good shots out of 40. I had 3 bad releases Saturday for a 10, an 8 and a 5. And... I still shot a horrible score!!
I even went to see Dan Hart twice and have studied all his judging notes. He still whipped my butt. But I went out today and ranged about 30 targets. I found out today and this weekend that his judging principles are worthless if you don't get a good number before applying the principles.
I don't see me shooting a shot this week. I will judge a couple hours a day instead.
Oh well, this weekend compared to Gainesville tells me IBO is a judging contest where ASA is a shooting contest. Can't wait for Rome. I've got to redeem myself.
