rchr, sorry we missed each other this weekend. I talked with Ken about this class, also. What we need to do is get the word to the IBO so it can be discussed, and voted on this fall. We need to get people at the shoots that don't use this forum to call, as they may not be aware of this potential class. So everyone here get the word put. Let the IBO know this class is very much wanted by those of us shooting pins. Hopefully we can get it accomplished. The IBO is very willing to act on some things, this being one.

I have shot senior for 4 years now and I think the hunter class is good. I have friends that are seniors but shoot the HUNTER Class. They do very well but never well enough to beat them 25 year old eyes. The eyes are the big problem for guys over 50. You might laugh but when you get there will will find out. We have a problem getting 2 guys in the bunch to keep scores because they can't see to punch the cards with all the extra attachments to there glasses to see the pin and see the target to.
My friends are basicially hunter's who like to shoot 3D and find the MSR class to be to competetive. I think the Senior Hunter Class is a real good thing. GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!

Please contact your state reps. and let them know about your support for a senior hunter class. They are the ones who can make this happen by voting for it in the fall. A list of state reps. and how to contact them is available on the ibo.net web site. Just click on the link. Thanks, rcher

The IBO Board members are reading these posts and are hearing the people talking. If you all want this class.....then just pushing for it!!

I would like to see the Senior class and the MCBH class studied for possible changes. The senior class is growing and will continue to grow which will be worth looking at more and more each year. Seniors and MCBH are contributing more each year and many of these shooters have been participating through other classes thru the years. A hunter class for seniors and MCBH would do a lot to make some of the people with growing limitations caused by age more enthusiastic about competing in their own age groups. Many of the other classes have much to look forward to, like the youth classes. Many of the seniors can look back a long way and the future is unknown but definetely growing to a close. Many of these archers have contributed much and would like to look as good as possible for as long as possible. Shooting at closer targets can work for people that want to shoot as long as possible.
After 48 years of shooting archery I believe that I am lucky to be out there and would like to enjoy the time as much as I can. A winning score is one that lets you feel like you can still compete and maybe win, place or show.

HighBow Thanks for your support. Please go to the archerytalk link and vote on the poll under the general archery category. Surely BowPro can see all this positive feedback here as well as there. rcher

BowPro- After some of the e-mail I got and the posts I see on other forums I can really sympathize with you on all the grief you must get. It seems that some individuals really don't have any input unless it's negative input all the time. Anyway thanks for your time and consideration. rcher
