best 3-D youth bows?
#11
Hi trufire, great to hear you're shooting a bow, and want to shoot 3D. Try the BowTech Rascal. They are a great youth bow, and would work great for 3D. As you grow, BowTech will upgrade the limbs for a reasonable price. I bought my son one, and he loves it. He's 6, and we shoot 3D together. He still needs a little help, but we have a ball. I'm sure you and your dad will, too. Good luck and have fun.

Welcome to a great sport. I wish I had started at a young age. You'll be the guy out beating us older guys in a few years.
As far as bow recommendations, I have a 13 year old daughter and I bought her a Mathews FX. This is a bow she will be able to grow with for a few years. She pulls 32# on a 23" draw and shoots around 225 fps. She's doing real well with it. The browning is also a good bow.
I gave my daughter a PSE Bandit but I didn't feel like it would do the job. It's a little slower and heavier. I guess you'll have to figure out what you can talk mom and dad into. I love the sport so it was pretty easy for me to dish out the extra dough for a good bow. You kids are all worth it, guranteed. Good luck on your 3-D shoots. One word of advice, practice your yardage judging ALOT. It is the difference in a good shooter and a scoring shooter.
