best 3-D youth bows?

I have been shooting for a year now and am doing good, this summer I want to start shooting 3-D.
Can I get some ideas on the best bow for me?.
My weakest spot is judging distance.
I am 10 years old.
I am a 22" draw and can draw 30#.

Hey there Trufire,

I'd also take a look at the Bowtech Rascal. I know someone who has one and he loves it. I would say to look at the Genesis by Matthews too, but that bow is really a beginners bow and it sounds like your better than that already. I agree with the PSE as well. Nice shooting little bow.

You may want to find a bow thats not quite youth as well. Some of the smaller axle bows come with lower draw weights and you could start at the 30# and grow with the bow. Take a look at this site http://www.huntersfriend.com/bowspecs4.htm click on "sort by Axle2Axle"

Good Luck!

Trufire,Try the Rascal by Bowtech 19to25 inch draw with modules,20# to 40# @ 256to262 fps. My 9 year old got one this year and he loves it. No vibration and smooth and quick. Good luck looking.

Welcome aboard!! I just was out and looking at the same size bows you are seeking I have a ten year old daughter that started shooting 3D last winter and she loves it. But her like you, could use a better bow and since christmas is coming I went out and bought her a nice Browning Micro Midas it is a real nice bow and will fit her for a few years til she is capable of drawing a higher poundage bow. I also looked at the Darton line of bows and they are also very nice bows and I really wanted to get her one of them since I shoot a darton and then my daughter would have a bow like mine and that would be kind of cool but they don't make one that would fit her as well as the browning will but if I were you I would drag dad down to the local pro shop and have him help you pick out a good bow for you besides that would make his day helping his boy pick out a new bow

Here is another one to check out. The Alpine Micro.
It is split limb, 21-28" draw, with a 30-40# option.
Machined aluminum riser, carbon cable guard. $220 @ Cabelas.

Hey Trufire,

I bought my son a PSE Sypder S4 last year. Great bow, draw is adjustable by about five inches I think.
He likes it so much I have to buy him more arrows for Christmas cause hes bent all the other ones

Hi Trufire!
Welcome to the boards. You'll find a lot of good people and information here.
As far as a bow goes, I have heard a lot good about the Genesis. It is made by Mathews, but it is also sold by Parker, and Tru-Flite. It has no draw length setting, so it will grow with you. It can be shot by someone your age, then picked up and shot by an adult, with no adjustment made! The come in several colors, and they've got a real cool looking camo version. Here's the link: http://www.genesisbow.com/
I hope this helps you out. Good luck, andf let us know what you choose!
