Default What Class is best for me?

I'm going to turn 18 in december and plan to start shooting 3d at an local event to qualify that takes place in late march. This is my going to be my first year with 3d. Is MBO the right one for me? I plan on using a release and a moving sight, but not a scope lens. Is there anything out there for begginers? Thanks

The movable sight and your age will place you in the MBO class. There is stiff competition there but I'm sure you will handle it just fine.
Good luck this year and have fun.

Can I ask why you don't want to use a scope. It would definitely put you on an even playing field, I would nearly bet that 75% of your competition will be using a scope.

Just Curious???

Good Luck

Scopes don't come without disadvantages, I have a SPM friend who shoots without a lens. I asked him why and his two basic reasons were:

- when you look at the target you are looking with just your eye and he likes the target to look the same when he aims.

- glare, rain, etc on the scope.

It comes down to preference, I have shot with a 2 and 4 power scope and really prefer the 2x.
