I just read a post on ArcheryTalk and someone said that at Nelsonville they were told that the Worlds were going to be moved to Anderson Indiana in 2007. Is there any truth to that statement or is it just rumor mill stuff?

i have heard they want to put in a bid for the 2007 world shoot, but dont know if the bid has actually been submitted to the ibo.
for all the shortcomings that snowshoe has had in the past with reguards to weather, the actual shoot is in my opinion top notch. no driving involved, food on site, and rooms on site. i have not been to anderson indiana, but i think it would be hard to top snowshoe....i cant imagine a 1200 shoot time in indiana with 90 degree august heat coupled with the humidity....i certainly hope things are at a minimum equal to snowshoe as far as accomodations...and availability....is anyone out there familiar with anderson who can fill us in?

This was posted last year after Worlds and I do believe that there is a contract in place that the shoot will be at Snowshoe through 2007.

All rumors. Targetsfor the IBO is a bid processthat hasn't happened yet. We will be at Snowshoe for the next two years for sure. And Peak n Peek after that is also a rumor.

Smoozer, I hope that post is correct!!! I love Snowshoe. I am afraid they will lose alot of the east coast shooters if it moves to Indiana. I also agree with Keith Meador in the fact that it will be misserable shooting in the Indiana August heat. And again I agree with KM that itis sweet leaving the vehicle parked all week and just walking out of the hotel with bow and arrows to go an shoot. Snowshoe's only downfall is inclimate weather at times,but I think adding the extra day has fixed that. I love the COOL TEMPERATURES at snowshoe.
