Hotels: Most of the hotels listed are within 8 or 9 blocks of Hoosier Park.
Many of the rooms can hold up to 6 people and serve free breakfast buffet. Many of the hotels are on 59th street and they are planning a possible hog roast or some type of event there. For more info on hotels contact Mo at the visitors and conventions bureau. There # is on the city of anderson web site, click on the IBO logo.
Hoosier Park: This will be the location of the vender show. We hope to attract more vendors, those pkgs are being put togeathernow. We are working on finding a carnival with rides that is not already booked up for those dates. There will be concerts, and other entertainment. Small children should be able to activities like face painting or maybe some crafts. There will be practice butts located here. There will be shuttles running between the park and the shoot sites. There will be info booths for the city as well as the IBO booth and Hoosier park will be opening there restraunt for breakfast lunch and diner. Besides the archery vendors there should be craft vendors and food vendors and others. There is alot of stuff being planned.
Family activities: Ther are plenty of things to do in Anderson. Lots of local shopping, movie theaters, putt putt, swimming pools, go carts down town concerts, a brand new scte park should be completed by then, and there is much more. That does not inclube going to Indy or Castleton which is only 20 minutes away.
I'm sure I have not answered all you questions so bring'em on and I'll do my best to answer them. No promises you will like the answers though.

Tony,
So very good answers about lodging and what is being planned, I know that you and Wayne and the rest of the community of Anderson In. is very busy planning this event. I have been receiving the newsletter that your mayor post each week, seems that the leaders of Anderson are a energeric group of leaders, nice to see that from elected officals. Keep the information coming. Sounds like things are coming together for a exciting World Championship and Archery Festival.

Here is some updated info.
The opening ceremony will be on Wednesday (1 Aug). This will be a formal opening ceremony with the national anthem and the whole nine yards. We are encouraging everyone to attend. Following that will be the City of Anderson/Martin Archery Pro Am. Spectators will be welcome for that event. Following that will be the "Best of the Best". You can see that we have a full first day.
For the spouses and kids. We have arranged 2 trips. The first is to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum. This is the largest children’s museum in the world. The cost including transportation is $25 for adults and $21 for children. This trip is scheduled for 2 Aug. http://www.childrensmuseum.org/
The next trip is to the Indianapolis Zoo. It is scheduled for 3 Aug. The cost including transportation is $26 for adults and $22 for children. http://www.whiterivergardens.com/
You can make reservations for these trips anytime by calling the Anderson Park Office at 765-648-6851 and speak to Brandy or Lella.
Along with these trips we are making arrangements for a shopping trip to a large mall (sorry guys), a trip to a chocolate factory here in Anderson, and the Paramount Theatre. http://www.andersonparamount.org/
This is part of what is happening that week. As other things are confirmed, I will let everyone know.
