PA Archery Season less than 24 hours...
I' m ready! Final wash goes in the machine tonight and I' ll be in my stand around 6:15 tomorrow morning. Bow is tuned and heads are sharps. Oh, this is the most exciting time of the year for me! Well, almost as exciting as the first week in November! Good luck to everyone and hunt safe.

We had frost, too. Nice and crisp. That' s good hunting weather. If I were fishing in the Bahamas I might want it warmer but, for bow hunting, this will do just fine. I' m not one to get into the stand super early either. I hate sitting in the stand in the dark waiting while I can hear the deer but not see them. Just my preference, though.

I plan on being on stand at 5:30 I know there are some nice buck around and I want to be ready when they show up. By the way the antler restrictions seem to be working because I' ve been seeing more big buck than I have ever seen in my life. I' ve been seing many 8+ pointers when in past years seeing and 8+ pointer was a rairity.

Good luck to all you guys. Be safe. I hope to see some success stories on here by Sunday. I' ll be in my stand around 6-6:15. I' m not one to sit a long time in the dark either. I will if I feel the need but most of the time 15 mintues before light is fine with me.

I will hopefully be in my stand by 5:30. I love sitting there listening to the sounds in the complete darkness. Nothing more frightening than the unknown and unseen fun of the pitch black forrest. Nothing like watching the deer move first thing in the morning right past my stand.
Plus other guys on the property are late risers and so I am banking on getting in position and having them push the deer right in my lap.
