I see that there are 20,608 left in 3D well if I did fill it out correct should have my non-resident tag.well that leave me with one anterless tag in PA @ a doe tag for n.y.s. more than enough meat for the freezer .Now all I have to is purchase my m/l stamp in PA and if I don' t fill the regular buck tag in the regular season can get another doe in the late flintlock season

Thanks for the reminder Frank. We decided not to apply for extra tags yesterday. With our daughter hunting for the first time we are hoping she gets a doe this year. With any luck at all there will be at least one preferably 3 deer to show for our efforts this year. Our freezer is big, but not that big!

I am still looking for my first doe. I can' t wait! This morning' s cool weather certainly isn' t helping me be patient!

I was glad that I helped a few of you folks out.

I don' t have the new WMU map in front of me so where the heck is 2F? I am guessing the Pittsburgh area based on some of the comments above. 42000 sure is impressive!

2F is a north central zone. It is all or parts of the following: forest, elk, mckean, warren, clarion jefferson and venango.

I breathed a bit easier knowing my check was cashed. Hopefully the bonus finds its way there as well.

I do have one question - if I received doe tag + bonus tag for my WMU (5B) could I still buy one in September for 5C ???(unlimited area) Any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Cableguy, yes.

My area is sold out....2F. A lot of people come up this way to hunt the Allegheny National Forest and the abundance of Game Lands form Pittsburgh, Cleveland, etc. That' s likely why it' s sold out so quickly.

Jason/Wimp,

Thanks for the explanation. I still cannot believe that they went through that many just in the first round. []

Cableguy,

Ditto on what Jason stated. You can apply for another when the " third round" arrives. Sept. 8th if I am not mistaken.

Here is a question for you folks that are up to date on this " Bonus/Surplus" application process.

If a person is applying for one of the " unlimited tag" areas then can that person apply for more than just the 3 tags obtained during the August 4th, August 25th and September 8th application periods?

In other words, can I get three tags through the normal processes and then get more tags for the unlimited areas if I should so choose?

If I can then how and when does one apply? Do they still have to go through the regular application process or are they available over the counter?

Thanks.

Starting on the 25th(today) you can purchase as many as you want over the counter and send for 3 in an envelope.(not sure if you can send more than 1 envelope, can' t see why not) AND... you can still send for a bonus tag elsewhere at the same time. I wasn' t sure if I could apply for a 2nd Armstrong tag at the same time I send for my Allegheny tags, but I talked to the game commission and he said if you send for tags in a special reg. unit, you can still send for a unsold license in another unit. Hope this answered your question.
