man if i leave the house right now, I could probably be there when the doors open
in the morning, went to an event down there some 20 years ago, while living in the
area, it was some kind of seminar, and found it to be great, that place was a deer
hunters dream come true, even back then, would love to see what the area and
some of my old archery spots look like now, I have heard that i would be a little disapointed, with the urban spraul, but progress is unavoidable, i still would enjoy
going though

Oh CRAP, Rick I didn' t know it was this weekend or I would of planned better. Shoot I guess I will have to try at a later time and date. Good thing is that they keep the prices the same for the month of August. Or atleast I hope they do that again this year.
I hope I can make it but don' t have the cash for the fun stuff since I just started working again.

I was there. Took a look at both Sportsman' s Center and Harry' s.
Both places were a madhouse.
I had a chance to look at the Crimson Talon broadheads first hand. Impressive looking, but I think I will stick with the Montec' s
The NRA had their big booth set up with the most impressive collection of whitetail racks I have ever seen.
Lots of other vendor reps, Steiner, Steelforce, LaCosse, Hoyt, Jennings, etc...
Picked up some " gotta haves" and some stuff for this comming season.

Well, I didn' t make it. Who were the guest speakers this year. Last time I went David Blanton from RealTree was there . The year before that it was Mike Waddell from Realtree.

nothing special this year. no interesting speakers and not much in the way of bargains but i go every year. to me your better off looking in the red head-cabelas catalog for good selection and prices. the hunting digest and bear permit applications werent out yet so that was a bummer. i remember when those two stores were the only game in town and spent alot of cabbage there. they are too pricey for me. kinda funny there building a walmart right next to them.
