Cardeer,Nice pics. on all the bucks. We already have a plan in Pa.
Shoot all the doe you possibly can including button bucks for two yrs straight, with a 2wk buck and doe season combined. In the 2nd yr. let over 1 million hunters shoot the biggest bucks of the herd, only bucks legal to shoot.
All areas included, regardless of deer populations in that area, because all areas are the same.3rd year go back to step one and continue from there.
It is all taken care of, big bucks running all over Pa.Deer herd largest it has ever been. You can go out and shoot a 8pt. or 10pt. buck anytime you want, and plenty of doe to choose from also. The plan is already in effect, whether you believe it or not is a different story.

Cardeer...Nice pictures. The comparisons sure are enlightening.
I don't want to be told what to shoot by any state. I pay my property taxes...license fees...etc, and don't want AR. I don't want 10 points behind every tree. I just want an opportunity to see lots of deer and a lengthy season. Once a state turns into an Iowa or Texas, the restrictions start and the season shortens. JMHO

Nice pics....As far as copying programs, from what I read for as large as Texas is, most land is private and managed as a money-making business when it comes to deer. Set up over a feeder and take your pick. Also, it appears that a lot of the midwest states land is being bought up or taken over through lease agreements. So if this is the programs format, I am not in favor of it. Who knows what the answer to Pa's deer management is. Regarding AR, there are those that say it would only discourage both new/young hunters and old alike because of the limited sightings and opportunities. However, how many hunters have gone home over the years without taking a buck, or for that matter--a doe?!! I think that by at least allowing smaller bucks to make it through their first couple of growing stages, it will provide a better opportunity at a larger class buck. And this will at least keep their interests until they get some years under their belts and realize there is more to hunting than the size of the antlers. But lets face, how many of you out there when you first started had an image of a spike buck as your 'dream' buck??
Even a bad day in the woods, is better than any day out!
