Do you really believe the carrying capacity of the habitat decreased by 40+% since 2001? Did you reduce the herd by 40% on the property you manage?

The carrying capacity didnt change. All that changed was a move to a carrying capacity that was not skewed toward mismanaging to maximize only one species.

If really need the ridiculous deer numbers of the past to enjoy your hunt, If you want to manage the land like a a deer farm, buy some land and go to it. But dont expect oter hunters and the nonhunting public to put up with your warped version of "enough deer" any more.

That simply is not true. We have more bear turkey and elk when we had 1.6M PSD then we did when we had less than 1M PS deer in 1980.

So on the one hand you encourage hunters to buy land so they can manage it at high deer densities with zero regard for the effect on the adjoining landowner, while advocating that SGLs be managed at ridiculously low densities so DCNR can get their timber certified for export. That makes absolutely no sense!!

First of all, to include elk in that statement is just plain silly. Efforts to grow the elk population and improve the habitat in that area have been ongoing and have little to do with the changes in the deer herd.

Bear and turkey share some food sources with deer but that comparison is almost as silly

LMFAO!! What part of the word ridiculous didnt you understand???

That aside, this is still America until the present regime in Washington is finished with us. You have the right to buy land and start you own deer farm and promote ridiculous numbers if you wish. Consequently, Your neighbor has the right to line up hunters along his border with you and let em shoot all deer that cross over. You no NOT have the right to dictate the deer densities for the rest of us and like it or not, it is the PGC's job to manage those densities for the everyone in the state. Not just for a few guys who now have to hunt a little harder.

"The carrying capacity didnt change. All that changed was a move to a carrying capacity that was not skewed toward mismanaging to maximize only one species."

So now its skewed towards complete and total mismanagement to maximize totally unnecessary, totally unnatural excessive amounts of biodiversity, the likes of which noone gives a rats arse about other than a MINISCULE number of ecoextremist nutcases who are currently running the show.

"But dont expect oter hunters and the nonhunting public to put up with your warped version of "enough deer" any more."

The HUUUUUUUGE majority of hunters in Pennsylvania wouldnt pizz on pgc if they were on fire due to this obscene deer mismanagement. When speaking of hunters overall, your ridiculous supportive view of hr to the extent in which its been done makes you a rare "bird" indeed.

And it was also there job prior to hr, yet over much of the state, a better job was done. You speak of someone dictating how many deer are to be had, and thats exactly what is being done. By a minority of extremists and other interests. Hunters shouldnt dictate, nor should others. But they are. There was room for compromise. That option will not be explored thanks to the corrupt commission of extremists not caring one bit about hunting in Pennsylvania.

Btw, those same issues are "managed" for in other states, however there, hunting isnt thrown completely under the bus for the whinings of limp wristed enviro-quacks.

Call it whatever you like. No one who counts listens to the idiots like you and the USP. In the big picture, you're kinda like that fly that keeps landing on the potato salad. You irritate everyone but thats about all that happens. Since theres no sign that things are going to change your way, looks like you and the mouthy minority loose!!!

I agree hunters arent listened to. In case you havent been paying attention, thats the problem most have now with the corrupt commission.

I think maybe you need to reread your posts. As they fit that example perfectly. Everyone else can discuss and debate issues. Issues your limited capabilities apparently keep you from discussing in an intelligent and comprehensible manner. You stir the **it, just cause you like the smell. If I am like a fly then you are like a dung beetle. Pure bull**it is all you deal in.

"Since theres no sign that things are going to change your way, looks like you and the mouthy minority loose!!!"

Your right, we are currently losing as hunters. But the mouth minority isnt. They own the pgc right now, and their visions of a trillium and hobblebush nirvannah are about to become reality.

Good luck with that buck this year. Hope you dont do anything to blow your chance, like maxing out your credit card before season. Hope you whack a big'un....Big hunter. lmao.

LOL..... One only has to view this forum for a short time to see who insists on posting long, yelling, inflamatory name calling rants and tirades about the PGC to identify the stink stirrer. Virtually every post made by anyone on the other side is in reaction to your hissy fits or Larry the bird's warped numerical assaults on the truth.
