You basically always get the same amount of tags every year because they give you dmaps based on what you own and do with the land. Not how many deer you have. Study alittle bit bb then maybe you debate this and not look like a fool

around my place about 15 need to be shot

Now how many need to be shot ?Did you change your mind or did you forget you posted that.

Once again the bird struts his ignorance around like a badge!

Noticed that the date of that quote was left out and that it wasn't done using the quoting feature so it's suspect at best but lets just say that bowtruck DID post that......

It's his property and his perogative to adjust his management goals. He mentioned just having had a forester there. A good manager recognizes that goals can change. He obviously is in tune with his land and you obviously are simply bent on attacking him no matter what even though you know nothing about his place.

Let me put it in bird chips for you
The pgc gives me 32 dmaps I do not have to use all of them .
The number was 15 but now that i will be "if log price go up" logging this winter i will let a few more be killed probably about 20 to 24 . BY the way after i walk around today . I might just change the number i will allow killed again. Because things change.

Unlike you bb i change strategy as other things change. Thats why some of us are successful and some of You eat crow pie

PGC comes up with the numbers of dmaps by land you own and what it is used for.
Basically 1 dmap for 5 acres of cultivated or 1 dmap for 50 acres of uncultivated.

Also if you look at BB's supposed qoute. Bowtruck stated aroun 15 deer nead to be harvested. The key word is,"around."
Just as BTB already stated. Looks like bowtruck was leaving room for adjustments.

Tell us BB,what is the goal on YOUR property?

I suspect that the only ground that BB owns is whats stuck to the bottom of his boots. And unless he's got a dirt floor under his computer desk there probably aint much dirt on them boots either:barmy:

you admitted that DMAPS are issued in areas where landowners have too many deer. The fact that you applied for 32 DMAP tags means you admitted you have too many deer, which means you're admitting you mis -managed the herd in the past by limiting antlerless harvests.

I don't own enough property to have any control over the herd in our area.

bowtruck 08-11-2009 06:52 AM

I have told you several times how pgc give the number of dmaps. you are just a little slow.

so what you are saying in your post BB is that you have no clue how to manage a deer herd. specifically on people who own their own land . But yet you will try and twist what others do.:throw: Yeah i am worried what you think:rock:

I can't wait for this answer. BB, how does the number of DMAP tags issued to bowtruck.Relate to an admission on his part, that he has way too many deer?
