i was sick last 2 days with flu like .

last week i was in woods for 2 hrs with my dog looking for sheds that i never find.

my dog had 12 ticks on him when i got home.

i had 1 on my arm, i got off..

today i was dizzy and went to doctor, guess what he pulled a tick out of my back, it looks like a 22 cal hole

the hole looks big enough in my back to require stiches, can you believe that.

he said he thinks i got LYME DISEASE.
he put me on pills for 28 days, boy, i am dizzy.

after coming home i took all my clothes off outside and changed my underwear.

only thing i did not do is shower that day.

vet checked my dog and gave him a LYMES SHOT .

he said he had 26 dogs come in this year already with LYMES DISEASE.

i think this is a national emergency, its that bad out there[:@]

To get lyme disease the tick has to be attached for a day or more. Less than 10% leads to lyme disease.

i figure mine was on for at least 4 days or more.looks like i was shot in back with 22 cal

many people i know did not get pills and now have problems to lyme disease.

my doctor said,SPROUL DO YOU REALLY WANT TO RISK GETTING LYME DISEASE BY NOT TAKING THE ANTI-BOTIC PILLS.

PILLS COST ME 8 DOLLARS.

i am not taking a chance.

my friends dog got LYME DISEASE.

HIS DOG NEVER GOES IN WOODS AND HE ONLY WALKS THE DOG AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

he did not get LYMES SHOT.

You don't have to go into the woods to get em. They do live primarily in leaf litter but you can pick em up in your yard or just about anywhere. They are here all year bbut they get active feed heavily this time of year. If I recall correctly, they only need blood a couple of times in their entire life cycle but right now is the prime time. Even peolpe who seldom go out arent all that safe. They come in on dogs, cats, mice etc andcan survive in your carpet for quiteawhile

Someone needs to find a way to eradicate ticks and deer flies from the face of the earth.Nothing is worse and the ticks are bad this year.Permanone is by far the best defense against ticks.

Sproul,I'm glad to see that you aren't messing around.Lymes disease is scary stuff.I hope you're ok.

Well..

Our game commission does a great job of eradicating our deer herd. Maybe they could come of with something.
