Default ticks are out

Went for a hike in Sterling Forest (Orange County) this past weekend. We stayed on the well used trails buthad to by pass some flooded area and ended up loaded with deer ticks. Not sure I want to turkey hunt this spring, I've alreadybeen treated forlymes a few years ago.
When I was a kid all we worried about was poison ivy and bees but these ticks are creepy.
Be careful out there.

Warren,

If you treat your clothes with a spray containing Permethrin you will be tick free guaranteed. I have been using it for the last four seasons and I have not had a tick on me or in the house. Permethrin lasts for up to six weeks in your clothing and will even last through a couple of washings.

They're out everywhere. Picked up a bite the weekend before last, clear out in Illinois. Havent seen one in AP yet but I'm sure they're out here too.

Trust me, Lyme is no fun! Be very careful out there guys.

Gotta try that permethrin. Deet is certainly not 100% effective and it's just plain nasty stuff.

Ticks aren't fun. Definitely spray yourself down with Permethrin like Bob said.

NO.

we use AVON SKIN SO SOFT the most.

on our dogs we use ADVANTIX 9.

i see dogs in bad shape from ticks.

my dog is on his way to vet monday for his LYMES SHOT.

did you know most ticks come from your breath.

they follow your breath to you from ABOVE.
safest thing is, CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES WHEN YOU GET HOME.

i had 2 on me today and dog is scratching.

DONT LET YOUR DOG IN BED WITH YOU AND IF HE IS ON SOFA, PUT A BLANKET DOWN AND DONT SIT ON IT UNTIL YOU PUT A CLEAN ONE ON.

i know, its a pain in butt.

my wife just got done checking my back for ticks.

for some reason they always bite me on back or back of my arms.

Skin so Soft iswhat the wife and I use to keep away the mosquitoes away when we sit out by the pond in the evening. But can't use it hunting, you smell like a perfume parlor. Got to find something oderless to keep away those ticks while hunting.[/align]
