Maybe you got some thing right 20 % 1,000,000 is 200,000 and thats about our deer kill, and yes I know we don't have a million hunters any more but it made the math easy.

I dobelieve it is a very small percentage that are successful buck hunters year in and year out.

"they probaly think if they say hunters support hr long enoughpeople will believe them "

I agree bowtruck. Psychology 101. Make those who dont support think they are countered by equal or greater numbers SUPPORT. Most arent stupid enough to be fooled so easily though, I think.

Another reason for them to "put on a show" of happiness is to fool our legislators into thinking the problem isnt as bad as it might otherwise seem without their constant damage control efforts. Remember our legislators have to approve the funding increases pgc gets and it is a check and balances system set up to prevent corruption and/or irresponsible management in the form of alternate agenda pushing....Like pgc is currently doing. Totally foresaking the hunters the value management tool itself and the bill payers...In favor of eco-extremists and treehuggers. Thats also why pgc is going broke and have so far been refused the increase.

No, our deer kill is around 322K ,no 200k. Since a fair number of buck hunters don't shoot doe and some hunters only want 1 deer/year, there is no way 20% of the hunters harvest 80% of the deer.

The problem is the PGC issues more antlerless tags that the number of PS antlerless deer and the average hunter has no idea whether they are too many deer or too few ,so they try to shoot whatever the PGC will allow them to shoot.

Buck hunters dont reduce the herd. Also, the buck success rate last year was around 12% if I remember correctly.

I Never said they did, and 12 % seems like a small % so you agree with me?

I agree 12% is a small percentage and not a high success rate.

My point being I am one of a few people I know that are consistantly successful at killing bucks, Most years like this one I pass on 5-10 legal bucks through out the archery and rifle season.
I have goals at the beginning of the year and I stick with them, most years I put two or and sometime three guys on bucks during a normal year.
That being said no one shoots doe on my land,I have neighbors with kids and they kill what they want and that is there choice.
I also find it very hard to believe that verymany hunters that start the season with plans of filling a doe tag fail to do so.And I feelthe largest number of doe tags are purchased by those withno intent offilling them.

thats problem, issuing all these tags and hunters like DOUGE legaLLY GETTING 6 DEER IS WRONG.

i could see doe being reduced in areas of too many but wmu2g is not

i still feel in wmu2g it should be 1 deer and your done.

if you got deer in another county, no, you cant get one in wmu2g.
