\Remember it was you that claimed antler quality dramatically improved due to ARs and then back tracked and claimed it ws the number of 2.5+ buck , not the quality. Then B Jim claimed the rack sizes increased even though you claimed they didn't.

Of course you said it and here is the quote you ask for.
There are a lot of "bugs" in the current state of deer management but it totally baffles me how you and Bluebird2 can continue to deny the dramatic improvement in the average antler quality across the state.

I don't know what you are drinking , but save some for me

Close skippy! but no cigar. You are helping me prove that just a word or two left out or inserted changes everything. Now lets see if you can find the difference between my quote and what you said.

Take your time. It's right there.

Well Mr. clinton ,what is your definition of the word "is". The fact is you don't even understand the meaning of what you post and then try to deny that you said what you posted.

There is absolutely no evidence to support your claim that antler quality dramatically improved due to ARs.

As I recall from doing a study on my own , for the percent of bucks born in a certain year, our BB harvest was around 33%, 1 1/2 year old around 33% and 2 1/2 year olds and older was also around 33%. This was done over a three year harvest.

Our BB harvest going back before HR & AR, was running in the 20% range of total antlerless harvest. As the herd decreased, this % stayed pretty even, it was just to total BB put into thepoll has been reduced, just like the total antlered harvest went down.

If your hunting an area that has been overharvest, if you have to take a deer home, you are better off taking a BB than a mature doe. That mature doe will possibly give you another BB and female fawn thefollowing year. That female fawn will probably not be bredand if she is, her fawn will be late born fawn.

If your hunting an area that has been overharvest,
Don't shoot a deer. IMO

C'mon it's right there! Even you can find it if you really try!

That theory keeps being brought up but it serves no purpose to shoot the BB in place of the doe unless BB's are what you intend to hunt every year. When do you stop? That is like the chicken/egg routine.

Bingo...who HAS to take a deer home? If I HAD to take a deer home I would surely hunt a better area...you can bet on that.
