Sorry guys I havent been on to reply. Been setting up stands and went out the first day of rifle on 27th. What a crappy day. Anyways jkfirefighter who is a new member here got an 8 pointer. Shot it in its bed. Dressed 196 I think. He should be posting pics soon. I didnt realize there were this many people from Maine on here. I might know some of you in the Bangor area. Might have fixed, or installed your furnace or boiler, oil tank etc.

I haven't been out at all except to take my son out during the youth hunt. He got a big spikehorn, they guessed it to wiegh around 120-130 dressed, at the Grandlake Stream tagging station. The scales were down so I can't give the wiegh in wieght. He was quite happy with it tho.

ORIGINAL: Phil from Maine

Another Mainer here from the county that first gets the sun...
Actually thats how the Maine National Guard got its patch. Its a pine tree with the sun coming up behind it because the county is the first place to get the sun.
