What unit is your doepermit in craig 7? I have used those french-canadian deer calls before and your right they work great if you know how to blow in french. But one year they had a strip club within walking distance of the border and I tried to get one of the girls to "Guide" me but she couldnt cross the border.

Rabid we hunt out of the Boulet hunting camps during the second week. If that doesn't produce I have a doe permit in district 23, my son got his doe permit in district 26.

I lived in Ellsworth ME for 9 years and now I am in WI. I am trying as much as possible to get back to ME. There is nothing like it....no sea ducks in this place!

Yeah I live in Dresden next to The Bog. I am originally from Wisconsin, in fact I am heading back there in 6 days for 10 days of bow hunting on the home farm. I love Maine, although WI is much better hunting. However I never had moose in my yard in WI like I do in Dresden.I have some good hunting and fishig pics and vids on my home site. Jamie

Are you saying that Wisconsin is better hunting than all of Maine or just the Dresden area, Somerset county and up past their I would bet is as good as hunting as you will find in wisconsin.

Well unfortunetly I am talking about the whole state. More deer are killed in WI each year by hunters than excist in the entire state of Maine.There is just so much more food there. If you look at the numbers of B&C, P&Y, 200 lb, and even300lbdeer shot in the two states you'll see that WI, Iowa, MN, IL, eally smakoe the rest of the country. There is a reason that WI doesn't have a 200 lb buck club, because there would be way to many members. Go to the Boone & Crocket website. There are red marks for record book deer shot by location, Wisconsin is alomost totaly red, Maine just has some dots. I wish it was the other way around.

I would move back to Maine anyday. I think the hunting is just as good, of course WI has more deer look how big the state is. There is no sea duck hunting in WI. There are many big deer in Maine and not as many hunters. I dont mind WI, I just wish I lived further north.

Man is the greatest predetor. Anyway I don't think it has anything to do with that, WI just has more deer. I would rather live in Maine too... thats why I do. I got a fisher on video while bow hunting the other day. The night before I saw the biggest racked buck I ever had in bow range. I was hunting by the eastern river in Dresden.
