Yesterday while I was shed hunting on game lands in Fayette county Pa I saw birds strutting and calling.Back when it was warm a few weeks ago I heard them calling also but I thought this cold snap would shut them down.Yesterday was cold wet and nasty I guess you just cant stop love.

Speaking from experience it never mattered to me what it was doing outside.

I saw my first Tom strutting up here April 1st. This weather has me a little concerned, I hope the Hen's haven't started laying eggs yet.

Back when we had that long stretch of great weather I found a turkey egg but the hen was no where to be found.Today I was out shed hunting in the same place I was on saturday. The wind was fierce with some snow blowing.I did'nt hear any birds this time but I did find a monster shed on Gamelands.I never saw this deer while I was hunting there this year so I might have to move a stand to that spot.
