Squirrels
I have been trapping the northern flying squirrelout of my cousins acted for over a year now with a havahart trap. Up to date I have removed 13 of them. It is the northern endangered specie flying squirrel. For being endangered I sure have caght many of them. I take them about 3 miles away from the house and release them. Couple of them have died though because I couldn't check the trap for a couple days. I caught another one today and fed it some grapes. These squirrels are so easy to tame. He was comming up to the edge of the trap and taking the grape out of my fingers. Then I opened the trap and it came out and sat there. I gave it another grape and I decided to see what it would do if I tried to pick it up.
Believe it or not,It let me cup it up in my hands and pick it. it just kept eating the grape. Not a care in the world. But if it wasn't for the remodeling of the house. Rewire and pex plumbing that runs thru the attic We would let them stay there. We couldn't figure out where they was comming in at? So we released one outside and watched it climb the chimney and enter the attic thru a small hole. We patched the hole and they found another way in. Not sure where the other hole(holes are) is cause the other one we released ran up an oak tree. For being endangered here in Pa. there seems to be way to many in my cousins attic.
