Thats the game of politics. The only e=mail Ive sent out was to my state legislator & senator on the g/c deer management fiasco and they agree. So having your man in there on a deer subject of seasons & bag limits will fall on deaf ears. The way votes go now on the deer wars it,s always 4-2 let me see we got our Palones, Schleiden, Isabella, stay the course people. So if your guy gets in it will be a vote of 4-3 same difference the hunters lose again. Thats why the g/c didnt get their license increase politics got involved BIG TIME who are we the hunters of this commonwealth to question the g/c policy on any matter. NorthPa welcome to the world of politics put your seatbelt on cause its gonna get worse.
If I may ask why write to only one Senator?

The people I voted for I stick to my party line

Oh, I understand completely now. Vote Democrat no matter what. Thats Brilliant! One party votes make me sick! Maybe if people took the time to educate themselves instead of being lazy at the voting machines this country could get back on track. Takes alot of effort to pull one lever.

I'm wondering how many of the avid sportsmen here actually care?

I don't mean to slight anyone but does it seem to the rest of you that the issue is mostly "how many deer?"
An appointment to the PGC can have long lasting impact on everything we claim to care about.
Where's the love?

Some people need a reallity check here. Get this country back on track? Your to funny. We lost this country allready. Everything is made overseas and they own us. We can not get this country back on track because to many people won't want to give up what they have to do this. Yea, I see us shutting out others countries and start making things here while everyone goes to the poor house. I see the poor harvesting deer when they are hungry and getting fined for it. In reallity everyone will just bow down and be good little boys and girls and not do a damn thing. I can't believe you think this country can get back on track. She is derailed and not comming back. Same with hunting. Most don't give a hell about it anymore. You think the majority is goanna loose sleep over it if it is gone? Hunting has been over for a while now for small game and birds. Deer was the only income the PGC really had that kept them in revenue. You can bet it is going to fade away when there are no deer for hunters to shoot. No game animals = no hunters.

NorthPA, There is no other animal that hunters can hunt that was in large numbers as deer and you say they just asked how many deer. Well that is because we know how many small game species there are just as plenty as deer. NOTTA ZILCH 0000. And we see what the PGC does that has an impact on the future of hunting. Taking the last abundant animal and killing them off and ruining their own employment. It's just a matter of time before there is no more PGC because their lack of intelligence on why people been buying licenses. Not small game but for deer hunting. Check your numbers and see how many purchase their license before each deer hunt season? Archery, flintlock, rifle..This will clue you in on some truth to what I say.

Yep, Make a change huh. To funny all.

Deer handler, you are the MOST UNIFORMED individual I've ever seen on a message board. And I'm talking 7 and 8 year olds posters.
You simply know nothing about anything.

Don't know if it is chemical or genetic but I really feel sorry for you.
Of course, some do say; "ignorance is bliss."

What other game animal that one can hunt and consume that is as widely established as whitetail deer. Predators arein second place if notmore abundantthan deer. Yes, We are misinformed when it comes to population sizes of deer herds. Check your sales and see how many license been bought right before these seasons. And it will show you that I am correct. It's about the deer and not small game. Change the time for when doe tags have to be mailed in to after small game season. You will see people won't bother to get their license till the last minute just to hunt deer.
I am not the uninformed here. Can you tell us how many license been sold just before the first round doe tags needed to be sent in? Can you show us how many license been sold after small game season? I know someone can find these stats and post them for us to see who is misinformed.

Show me the stats NorthPa of when license been bought. And we will see who knows more about what is going on. And it is not goanna be you.

Deer hunting is the bread and butter in PA.Although down the last two years turkey populations are doing pretty well.Bear numbers are still up.The days of a breeding pheasant population are long gone.Geese are up in numbers.Rabbits are down due to predators in my opinion.
Grouse numbers have been declining because of the lack of clearcutting/edges in our forests.

Predators have more to do with small game decline. Fox,coons, bobcats, bear, coyotes, fishers and any other animal that prey on new borns and eggs. When you got less trappers than coyotes alone the population of predators are out of control. 2005 only 23000 trapping license been sold. Now, To fix the small game they need to have no close season on all the predators except for bear. We had enough predators in Pa, and they introduce bobcats and fishers. Yes, this helped the small game population out. To funny. Good small game management. What a joke.
