I don't hunt with a muzzleloader, but I have been out with my bow. I've seen more deer this year than in the last two years combined. It looks like it's shaping up to be a good year.
It's nice to see a post from someone else in NH. Good luck!!

Ive bein out all of bow and shot a doe, There are alot of rubs but I havent seen any scrapes, the deer around here are spooked already they changed there pattern and I see new tracks mostly in the swamp thickets, hard hunting when you can only see for 20 yards, morning hunting seams to be best, there are two haning out back a scrapy basket 4 point and a spike, dont know were the spike came from Ive never sein one around here, bad genes glad hes down,I went into the swamp and found some high ground really deep into it, there was deer tracks everwere,I got wet but the big deer are in there,No luck with the muzz yet, I only have A hour a day after work,,Im chasing a big 200lb plus deer big rack, but I got to find his scraps or just get lucky .......later

I hunt with my 3 sons and a close friend. We have been seeing deer at about the same pace as last year. My buddy got his deer last month with a bow and my son got his deer with his Muzzleloader Mon afternoon in the same general areas. I did see a nice buck Sat and three does Sun and they were the first deer I have seen this season. The weather could have been better during the first part of the Muzzleloader season, but the biggest factor that I see is the amount of foliage. It seem that the trees just don't want to drop their leaves. We have even had to move some of our treestands to other locations.
