I knew you went to Penn State!
With all due respect, "genius professionals" from "prestigious universities" design bridges that collapse, drugs that kill inadvertantly, products that cause cancer and on and on. YOU are the all arrogant one sir. You make it VERY clear that a "kid" is stupid, unless he is a kid in Penn State U.
YOU refer to good people from all walks of life as "nutcases" or "whackos". That is a bold assertion to make against a whole group of folks you never met. As said before, who cares if you believe anybody...ONLY YOU DO!
You hold some elitist authority image of yourself to keep coming here and passing judgement. Why don't you just quit posting here? Because you can't help it obviously.

Q: How do you get a Penn State graduate off your porch?

A: Pay him for the pizza!

"With all do respect to you and your uncle"

That should be with all "DUE" respect.

He is DUE that level of respect because he is a good man that does not fabricate lies or manipulate photographs to try to convince others of an untruth. He took a picture of a mountain lion in PA, and you (in your ultimate wisdom and reverence to the all-knowing PGC & Penn State "experts") refuse to believe it.

You have not shown him the level of respect that he has earned, so please do not claim to out of the cornerof your mouth.

Actually I don't call people from all walks of life nutcases. I refer only to those that spew conspiracy theory nonsense as nut cases. I think you know who fits into that category don't you livbucks?

Yes I can see you have great respect for college educated people. Sounds like we've hit a bit of a sore subject with you. Your resentment comes accross loud and clear.

You hold some elitist authority image of yourself to keep coming here and passing judgement.
Wrong again. I've made no jugement at all. I told you before I have no independent way of knowing one way othe the other with regard to ML's in PA. I simply point out what the people that are in a position to know say. I believe them over you and you can't handle it. It's pretty clear you've got a thing for them.

As said before, who cares if you believe anybody...
And like I said before, YOU DO or you wouldn't keep posting here and getting hammered while trying to convince those that don't accept what you're saying..

Why don't you just quit posting here? Because you can't help it obviously.
I'll quit posting here when I decide it isn't fun anymore. But youare so much fun I can't see that happening soon. Tell you what, why don't you quit posting here and maybe I'll get bored and quit too.

So in your mind, I have to believe him to respect him? Sorry. I believe he believes he has taken a picuture of a ML. I believe he is mistaken. If you call that not respecting someone, I suggest you look up the meaning of the word.

So I guess insults are o.k. with you guys as long as you are the ones handing them out. You seem to be interested in spelling. Can you spell H y p o c r y t e ?

If you believe he believes what he saw ... then pray tell, what did he photograph?

Remember, I toldhowhe and his friend identified the animalwhen it was standing in the middle of an open road very close in front of his truck. there was no mistaking the identity of the animal in the open.

Perhaps it was either deer, a coyote, a turkey, or a dogthat was wearing a disguise? After all, Halloween was only 4 months away when he took the photo.

As for the Penn State/Pizza thing ... it wasn't a personalinsult - it was a joke.

Reminds me of an ad lib lineof verse said byRobert Plant during a very famous live Led Zeppelin recording of one of their songs: "Does anyone remember laughter?"

P.S. "Can you spell H y p o c r y t e ?"

The word isspelled HYPOCRITE, so obviously you are the one that can't spell with your wonderful PSU education.

Don't know, the picture isn't clear enough to tell.

No, I never was very good at spelling, but then my degree is in engineering not english so it's never been a problem. I've found only anal rententive people get hung up on spelling. Anyway, there's kind of an un written rule on forums in that people generally don't waste time with such trivialities.

As far as my "wonderful PSU education". Yes it was. You can try to demean it all you like but you just make yourself look low. Look I mentioned I went toPSU to explain why I might be a bit sentive topeople ridiculing it. I didn't do it to boast. But I'll not appologize got graduating from a great school. It was a great experience on a great campus with great students and faculty. It opened many doors for me and I found that my degree was valued by my employers. Never had any problem finding a job. I was very well compenstated for my entire career and now enjoy a comfortable retirement. Yes, my PSU education has served me well even though I'm not a great speller. I'll leave those trivialities to people like you!

Penn State?
I hope the kicker wasn't the one who was conducting these research projects.

And like last night, maybe one day he'll get it right

Sylvan,

I'd like to know, what animal you think that photograph shows?

If you look at the habitat, where does it look like it was taken? The Flordia Everglades? Rocky Mountains? Does it look like desert terrain?

To me, it looks like typical North Easten United States terrain? Doesn't that look like your own backyard? All that thick vegatation.

It looks too big to be a house cat. All the yellow cats I've ever seen have tiger stripes. House cats have small delicate looking legs and paws. Not this critter.

Yes,it is hard to see a tail. It could be on the other side of the animal, who knows, the picture is blurry? It does not have the coloration nor the color of a bobcat. That front leg looks quite musculer. Paw looks big also. It looks more like a mountain lion than any other animal. If I were huntingML and this animal stepped out, I'd shoot and so would you. Its not a deer, not a dog, not a fox, not a coyote, not a raccoon, not a possum, not a muskrat, not a beaver, not a bird, not a rabbit, not a squirrel, not a person, not a horse, not a cow, etc...

if you took this blurry photo to 10 animal experts, didn't tell them where it was taken, and ask them what it showed, most would say, mountain lion.

Why don't you try a little experiment. Copy the photo. Show it to some of your hunting buddies. Don't tell them anything about this forum. Don't say where it was taken.Don't say anything. Ask them to guess what animal this is. Ask them about the terrain also. Ask where they think it looks like.See what happens.
