Doe, 10/15/05, muzzleloader
6 pt buck, 11/29/05, rifle
Saw lots of deer in 4A
BTW, I was trying to fill my last tag yesterday in some serious wind, but saw no deer. I have a turnip field that the deer are pounding right now. I don't know how many, but saw many sets of tracks and there are many holes pawed through the ice to get at the turnips. They are eating the tops that they left alone all fall and digging up and eating the turnips too.

Congrats, neighbor. It sounds like your season was as good as mine.

Massive post here, for me and other guys from our camp in Potter Cnty.
All of the following deer were shot in the same area of public ground behind our camp, others may have been gotten by the guys in other areas but these are just what i know of,(camp is about70 acreas most of it mountainside, but about 20 on top that we have a small food plot and a good water hole on; public ground is massive, can't begin to guess how big, but miles in every direction) the public ground is all state forest with easy access for other hunters to get too, but in deer season we see hardly anyone, (bear season is another matter, it's more like a group therapy session then) the amount of deer using the area in the past year has probably 2x-3x since we put in food plot and water hole, just shows what a little habitat improvement can do. anyway on to the good stuff

5 doe,1 unknown buck

saw many more big buck during bear season but not in rifle, and like i said there was not muchj hunting pressure form others, so our guess is the big smart ones holed up when bear season scared them crapless, least thats our hope for next year anyway. hope that helps

See deer, shoot deer, eat deer, it aint' a hard concept now is it ?!?
