Check with whatever municipality you live in, to see if they have an ordinance against shooting onyour own property. Chances are if you live in a rural township and have no close neighbors, it may not be illegal to target shoot on your own land.

You can't shoot at random during hunting seasons. That is the only regulation I am aware of by the GC. Local ordinances cover the rest. I know a few people who have ranges on their property, but they live in the country, away from development.

You can shoot at your residence or camp during the season as long as you are within close proximity to the house(I think it's 200 yards).
I think it also says you must have a suitable backstop.
What you need to worry about more is the local ordinances. Some more populated municipalities have ordinances prohibiting the discharge of any deadly weapons.

talk to your local municipality. Most boroughs will have an ordinance prevented it because they are more city like by nature, if you live in a township in a rural area you likley would not have an ordinance preventing it. I doubt you will find any state laws on the subject since you really only have a question about where is it permissible to discharge a firearm. I know plenty of people who target shoot in there back yards but of course they live on the back forty somewhere.
