I live in Marlborough. Sunset there is roughly 4:20 haha.

Anybody here in the Quabbin Deer Hunt? What block did you get pulled for? What are your expectations for this year?

If you took the time to look at the date of the kill before open your yapyou you would have understood that daylight savings had not been in effect yet. I shot my deer on opening dayOct 17th and it was not even close todark when I shot.Use your brain before you react. Ignorance and arrogance are a dangerous combination.......

I sensed a little hostility there. No need to get hostile over a minor misunderstanding.

Just sick of people jumping to conclusions when they are too lazy to correctly interpret the situation they are reacting to. If your gonna accuse or infer accusation be damn sure you are right first.

OK guys back from Ct and had a great time. I scored 3 times in the first 2 days. After I tagged out I sat with my grandson and watched a doe run up to about 30 yards away from him he raised the gun and the 2 of them stood there looking at each other till the deer jumped and ran away he followed her with the gun but never pulled the trigger. When I asked him why all he coud say as he was shaking was I don't know, I just don't know. I guess you can get doe fever too heh. Shotgun opens a week from tomorow so I guess this will be a busy place then. Good luck Mike

Sat the 26th last day of bow season. Wife had a list of honeydos for me. It was really cold in the morning, 12 degrees,so I bagged that hunt and got a jumpstart on my tasks. I got most done by about 2 pm and said I'll see ya in a couple hours Im gonna jump in my tree out back. Nothing much going on untill right at dusk.
I live next to a golf course with a 100 yard strip of woods between my yard and the course. Nice funneling area. Just as the light begins to fade I see two deer running across the course torwards my woods. They get in the woods and stop. A min later I hear grunting. A buck comes up the fairway and noses up to the does. He pushes them across the strip out of range into my neighbors yard and then into my yard chasing them in circles!!! I should have stood on my roof.....LOL. I hear another deer coming and it is a good sized doe. She comes in to 10 yards and catches me adusting for a shot. She backs away not offering a shot. She then decides to try and skirt around me at 25 yards. Bad move for her. 95 pounds dressed. I didn't go out for the gun opener due to the weather and needing to check her in.
