Default Soo many choices in NY

Bow opens on the 15th and so does Muzzleloader up north. Phesant season open on the 15th as well. Duck opened today. So many choices wish I had more time. I think I will be going out with the bow to my favorite stand. I am taking vacation oct. 20-29 so I hope to fill at least one tag and hunt each season I listed. I want to wish everyone good luck this season!!

Yeah duck opened on the 8th in northern and south eastern. The phesants aren't wild they are stocked by the state I believe. Good job on the teal. They are hard to hit.

Spike, Its a bitter-sweet dilema the state has put us in. I live in the North, and have a camp in the south. I always have to go for the bow first no matter though. But I do enjoy the Muzzleloader as well. Kinda urks me both the S. archery & N. muzzle open same days. That'll only give me very limited time w/ the bp this yr. up home, as I work M-F afternoons. I really wish the state would also extend N. archery earlier, and give Muzzle 10days, plus don't overlap the two seasons in North. It can get dangerous out there trying to bowhunt with guns in the woods. I pretty much gave up on trying to bowhunt the North, once muzzle opens. But I'll be down to my camp in South for the archery opener regardless. Sometimes it seems the DEC doesn't look at all scenerios. More & more hunters are hunting both North & South now over sticking to their homelands only.
