http://www.loggybayou.com/newproductpages/legendseries.htm

Follow the link to check out the new Loggy Bayou Legend Lite.

I love my Loggy stands, but you won't like them if you're opposed to hugging the tree on your way up. They're so light b/c there's only one piece. The optional climber is nice, but adds weight.

I also havea Summit Bushmaster that I really like. Much heavier than the Loggy tho.

Summit Bushmaster. Lighweight at about 16 or 17 pounds and price is around $150 at Cabelas IIRC.

Definetly Summit of any variety. I love the Viper aluminum.

I agree with quicksilver. If you can deal with the hug the tree and pull the stand up with your feet then it is the ideal stand. My light weight loggy weighs about 8 lbs and is great to pack in. I LOVE IT. Once you are at the top with the climbing band around the treee and the seat straped to the tree it is rock solid. (You can do jumping jacks up there)

Look into it cuz it is a great stand.

The new Loggy stands advertise at 12-13 pounds. I really don't think they weigh that much. I agree with you, Sal - less than 10 pounds. A dream to carry, and definitely the most rock-solid stand on the market, once ratcheted down.

Summit! I have two and love them both. going on 3 years without a prob with 1 and two years without a problem with the other. I think the cobra is right around 200.00 but i think the stand with the bar in the front and the footrest that pops up is well worth the extra few bucks.trust me.....i have 1 of each.

Any of the Summit stands are excellent, just bought my 2nd one and love it better than the 1st, E-bay is the best place to start looking, but this time of year there may be slim pickins.

API Grand Slam, mine is still going strong after 10 years of abuse. Light and quiet.
