I hunted Brown County for many years and it was very good. Brown is one of the top counties in Illinois, especially considering its small size.
I now hunt in Pike, Calhoun and Greene Counties. They are all in the top handful of counties as far as trophy number and size.

Good luck!

i'm not sure where you have hunted in the past, but i dont think i would pass up the opportunity to hunt that area of illinois. especially if you've never hunted outside of new jersey. lots of big deer.

I bowhunt in Brown county Illinois every year, and love it . The area I bowhunt the terrain can vary up to 350 feet , makes for ridge tops , ridges, and nice valley's a very nice looking area, with plenty of ag crop fields, CRP fields and food plots. The deer #'s are excellent and I see plenty of big bucks and big does, I see plenty of pope & young and Booners coming out of Brown County. I would suggest if you have the oppuortunity to hunt there dont pass it up
