Mid/late July we should know, we are all getting tags this year....Don't worry

That sounds about right, I beleive last year it was closer to the end of July. Yea 25K permits @ $455 or sowith a struggling economy, your chancesof getting a permit is almost a given. Only thing that could go wrong isyour applicationimproperly filled out. Ha.

I'm sure that 25K x $450 will be well spent on preserving our natural resources. Or at least they can name the housing project that they use the money to build in chicago: Deer Park.

If by chance you don't get you deer tag whitch is about 1-1,000,000,000 the state is offering bear and moose tags also, the good old state of Ill. is so broke they will try selling anything to make a buck off Nr. And that's a shame.

I guess that now is probably not the time to petition the state to lower the acreage requirements for out-of-state landowner permits.
