Does anyone have any information about the Illinois NR Archery tags? Were there fewer applications filed than the 20000 quota like last year? If so, why are they waiting so long to release the results?

I was told Friday they are unlimited over the counter. Is this incorrect?

No, it is a lottery draw, and you had to apply by June 30. There is a quota of 20,000 tags and last year their were only about 18,000 applicants, so everyone who applied got a tag, and the remaining 2000 were sold first come first served by phone in August.

I applied in June and have heard a rumor that everyone would be getting a tag, but haven't heard officially yet.

they have a website i think it is www.dnr.state.il.us that should tell you everything you need to know....

I have been checking the website daily and they haven't posted anything about it yet.
