Some guys at lunch were claiming the birds were starting to make noise last friday. I tried to get out there this weekend, but didn't get a chance.

Hey All,

Took the kids out for their youth hunt this last weekend saturday and didn't have much luck. Weather here was windy and cold and since you can only hunt until 1:00pm,we were done early. The kids toughed it out and we heard one gobble pretty far away at first light but after that... nothing the rest of the morning. We hunt an area that traditionally has a lot of turkeys too. Oh well, I'm looking forward to my hunt first season. Good luck to everyone.

Hey zim, those screens work well with a fixed broadhead, never used them for tukeys but have taken deer though them. They go though like BUTTER.

bh,

I will be toting the bow later in the season, when I have more cover to work with.

I assume you will be using stick and string?

Best of luck to everyone!
