No October hunt in Wisconsin this year

If I read it right in the new Wisconsin Outdoor News, there will be no October gun hunt this year other than the youth hunt. They moved it to December.

Yeah, it was like that last year too. The October hunt will be back next year though.

I live in the cwd herd reduction zone and we had one last year. So I wonder if we will have it again this year.

Just like last year, thank god that October herd reduction hunt really puts a dampner on us bow hunters.

All CWD areas will have the 4 day October gun season. The bowhunters that are so lucky to be in this area will be hunting pressured deer again. At least the DNR went back to earn a buck in these areas. Might save someextra antlered bucks,downsideisitkills more nubs.
