Well, as we were walking around the woods Sunday, we saw tons of rubs and 3 new scrapes by my buddy stand which showed up between 9am and 1pm. When we went out Monday morning, the scrapes had been freshened up, so we have got some pre-rut going on.
I am hoping they change their habits soon because they don't seem to be moving much after the sun comes and not much before it goes down.
We didn't set up the trail cam this year, so I am not sure what we have out there this year...
Anybody else getting some pre-rut sign? It always starts about this time on our grounds, nothing spectacular here, not unusually early, just nice to see the activity picking up, knowing rut is getting closer and closer. YAY!

Have seen bucks doing some play fighting. One young buck kind of chasing a doe might of been more for fun. No rubs or scrapes but I dont walk around during the season. I get in and get out.

Im on fall break from college for a couple of day I hunted my grandparents farm in dekalb county and there is so nice scrapes and a couple of rubs first time on the farm looked promising of another great season.
