Riiiiiiiiiiiiggggggggghhhhhhhhhhtttttt. So Chicago could fall off into Lake Michigan and I wouldnt lose any sleep over Illinois becoming a red state. Whoever decided to put cabelas in chicago does not get a reach around.
LOL

I'm not sure how you got let back in, but I guess I should take care of that. It was nice having you! (again)

PS - Cabela's is coming close to a major retail market which is smart on their part. Their are a lot more hunters around here than you may think. Ones that aren't afraid to drop some serious cash either. All I know is that it'll be 20 minutes from work and I'm happy.

I've heard that they are looking to put one in sparta Il by the new skeet and trap shooting place just north of sprata. Has anyone else heard this?

Nice for the local Illinios Hunters. I enjoy having one close too. Except for spending too much money!

On a different note, it's too bad to see a good family owned company turn into what it is nowadays. I worked for Cabelas for many years. The employees used to wear their shirts with pride with being part of a great company. Now it's all about the money, with values being swapped for revenues. Most any long-term employee would say the same. But times change. Enough ranting from me. That's all besides the subject.

Sure I grew up in northern ill no cabelas, Now that I moved away there is one coming. Oh well all for the best, If I had one that close I'd be broke as a joke.
Jealously,
Nathan

kshunter, I think it's no coincidence that the change in culture at Cabelas came right around the same time they took the company public (NYSE: CAB). Once that happened, it becameall about the bottom line, because there's a bunch of new institutional investors scrutinizing every nickel.

But hey, I couldn't be happier they're gonna be 20-30 minutes from me!!
