Cabela's is Coming to Colorado!
Cabela's has plans to open a 200,000 sq. ft. store on a 140 acres in 2006 in Wheat Ridge, Co. It will include an indoor archery range, and ponds. The store will be off of I-70 so most of those who pass through Denver on the way to the mountains will drive right pass it.
P.S. 10 minutes from where I live.

I got to wondering just how big is 200,000 sq. ft.? Then I got to figuring. The store will cover more area than 3 1/2 football fields. The place is going to be HUGE.

Don't forget about the two Gander Mountian stores also. One in Thornton and one in Aurora.
I feel bad for all of the little gun and archery shops in the area though. These stores may put a big hurtin on the little guys.

Hey EKM!
Yep, we're all moved down South. It's actually not all that bad down here. At least not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Just got the net hooked up a couple of days ago. Had enough other things to do.
I actually managed to go hunting for the first time last week and took what would have been a fairly decent buck had he not broken his right antler right above his brow tine. One time out and one buck.
I sure wish I was doing some elk hunting but it had to be put on hold this year. I will be back though and those elk better look out cause I will be on a mission after missing this season.
Hope all is going well for all the folks back in Colorado.
