well the lake is starting to clear up. the water has fallen about 6 in from last weekend. the fish were up great just like i figured. went to a flodded field and fish were everywhere. they had the water so muddy you couldnt see worth a darn though. still managed about 40 in 2 hrs with a newbie on board. then we made a little scoot to another hole and watch out. fish everywhere. we would go forward about 2 boat lengths shut of the fan and shoot till we ran out of fish. done that for another 3.5 hrs. broke another new muzzy reel and tore up 3 arrows. we ended up with 167 with roughly 24 buffs and 18 gar. not bad for me and a newbie in5 1/2 hrs. who needs clinton lake? well i will be out of touch till i kill a turkey or thursday. I am off to listen for gobblers in southern IL

Well said Billy. That's the great thing about bowfishing, bowfishers will gladly show you where and how to get into fish. I'm sure as things get more and more competitive that will change. But for us average folks who just like to whack fish, It's about having fun.
