Ok gang John and I went out last night we went to Turtle creek arrived at about 7:15 and they made us leave they are locking the place up at 9 now theguy said in a few weeks that will change. So if your going to Turtle Creek its day and early evening shooting right now. We knew the warm water plant would be good so much for that one...lol
So we went to Westlake they had a huge thunderstorm on friday night water was up a bunch and quite muddy fish were hard to see most places and not at all in some. We managed only 7 in hte boat had a couple pull off but at least we got out. John did stick a nice 10 pounder the rest were all about 3 pounds. Will have a couple pics soon.

Yep, It was a bummer to get to the lake only to be told to leave. Last week when I stopped by the ranger was a friendly as you could possible ask for and very helpful, except for the new park hours. On Saturday night we got the Grouch that stold christmas. He did say that the hours were to change in a few weeks. Once we got to West lake over by dugger we were shooting pretty good for first night out. At one point were 6 fish in the boat for 7 shots. Of course I had the only miss. And being a first night out, we had light problems too. I tried my new 'Hog light' for a bit. I think it would work ok on clear water or down at the kydam where the fish are on top. But in cloudy water it just does not have the eumph to get down through the water. well later...
