going to Rend Lake for a day of vacation end of this month - where should I go on the lake to shoot some fish

Where you from slew rat? Will you be using a boat or shore walking? Fortunately we got 2 inches of rain on saturday. The lake is still up very high for this time of year.

the north end by the refuge tower and north of turnip patch ramp. the water is high and muddy so it isnt very good

we went last Thursday evening didnt have much luck,water is still a lil bit high,,we could see fish out about 20 yards or so,,but couldnt get on them,,would have to agree with slim23,,water is dirty,,went to carlyle below the spillway friday evening,,water was dirty there too,,but seen ALOT of gar,even the kids had a blast
